There is a lot of ropey fringe theatre out there but you are rarely disappointed when you step through the doors up there. Few duff shows slip through. I went there in my first week at the CNJ back in 2002 to review the Christmas musical, A Slice Of Saturday Night, and have kept going back since. Managers John and Katie Plews have done a great job, so here’s to another 3,000 shows – and this year’s Christmas musical: High Society.
