Hobsbawm sticking with Labour

ALSO in that Washington Post article, it’s interesting to see the great Hampstead historian Eric Hobsbawm says he is pessimistic about Labour’s chances in the constituency. He cites The Guardian newspaper’s support for the Lib Dems as an important factor. The 92 year-old is, however, sticking with Glenda Jackson regardless. “I’ll go on voting Labour because I’ve always voted Labour,” Hobsbawm told the Post.

Hobsbawm’s daughter Julia went to school in Camden with Sarah Brown, the PM’s wife, and the pair later formed a PR company together.
