ANOTHER former Labour council candidate in Camden didn’t do so well at the polls on Thursday. Sally Gimson watched as the Tories expanded their majority in Leicestershire South and Labour slipped to third place, overtaken by the Liberal Democrats. The man who beat her: Andrew Rowbathan, a second cousin to her Daily Telegraph sketch-writing husband Andrew Gimson.
Maybe Sally will be thinking she should have stuck around in Gospel Oak where she stood for the council in 2006 – but was beaten by, among others, Chris Philp.
On Friday, the changearound at the Town Hall saw the neighbourhood get a complete set of Labour councillors.
