The stench on Camden Town corner

ACTION needed. If you are likely by any chance to get stuck at the pedestrian crossing on the corner of Bayham Street and Camden Road om Camden Town, take a clothes peg for your nose. A mystery stink gets worse there each day. Either the police or the council – or both, who knows? – have worked on this troublesome junction to ensure it is no longer such a regular scene of crack dealers dosing addicts. Anecdotally, people seem to agree that market in that location has been disrupted. But now comes a smell to make you mouth-guff. It’s a foul stench, like rotting fish mixed with socks filled with sick-bile.

But where’s it coming from. Does the boarded-up building, once home to the Labour Party offices in Camden Town, now locked by grilled windows, hold any clues to its source?
