You Say Osbourne

THE conspiracy to rename the Chancellor needs sorting out. Let’s settle it: Is it George Osborne or George Osbourne?

The Daily Mail, The Daily Express (in a headline) and The Daily Telegraph all went with the spelling ‘Osbourne’ yesterday when naming our emergency budget-meister… Strange, as Professor Wikipedia says the man with the money (or lack of it) at Whitehall has birth certificate reading: George Gideon Oliver Osborne.
