Love on the Heath

IT turns out married shadow people Ed Balls, the shadow chancellor, and Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, first clasped doe eyes on each other while visiting Hampstead Heath. Next time, you are sitting on a bench up there, just think, you’re future soulmate could come striding past at any moment.

Speaking at the Hay book festival yesterday, Coops revealed:

I had briefly met him (Mr Balls) on Hampstead Heath. I was sitting on a bench with a friend and he walked past with other friends who we both knew. But it was through the Labour Party that we properly met.

Three points for anybody who can name the Laboury mutual friends Balls was trampling across the Heath with that day? Someone local? Campbell? Foot? Who?
