Camden according to Charlie
IT’S a big 2012 for Camden Town rapper Charlie Sloth, who celebrates his birthday today. He’s up at the BBC taking over a radio show slot from Tim Westwood and it was recently announced he will be the host of Channel 4’s House Party, a special project planned for later this month where top DJs will play uninterrupted (NO ADS!) for six hours. I’m not an expert in hip-hop – once you’ve fallen in love with Arrested Development’s Mr Wendal everything else seems second best. But whenever Charlie’s name comes up, I can’t help thinking of his ‘guided tour of Camden Town’… the kind of uncompromising take on life around these parts to make local councillors and business groups wince.
Now I wonder who could have coined that “Mile of Murder” phrase?
Here he is in the CNJ

Cllr Charlie Sloth – got a nice ring to it!!
Maybe even Cllr Sloth, Leader of Camden Council.
A much needed breath of fresh air at Camden Town Hall!
Would love to see Charlie wearing the mayoral robe, rapping along Euston Road.
Go on Charlie, give it a go!
Das Kapital
Charlie Sloth, is the main man for leader of Camden Council.
He is one of the very few people to highlight the troubles of living within Camden, don’t see many Camden Councillors these days being open and honest, like Charlie Sloth.
I can’t understand why Charlie Sloth does not stand as an independant councillor, as the misfits in place already are utter rubbish.
You have my vote Charlie.
