Check internet for final score

ANYBODY, like me, who fears, laments, cries for the day when newspapers are only pixels and not printed products any more took another whap around the chops last night with Arsenal’s ridiculous comeback against Reading in the League Cup. The deadline came and went for the first editions read by ex-pats and readers in the UK’s furthest corners (and midnight customers at the King’s Cross newsstand), so the presses rolled with the score at 4-4. Maybe those early reports should have come with an asterisk and a note: Check internet for final score. It makes you sad, doesn’t it? Somebody in Penzance doesn’t even know Arsenal won 7-5.
