I’LL be honest, I’m not sure where Wigtownshire is. I’m guessing Scotland, but don’t take my word for it. From the letters pages of the Daily Mail yesterday, it sounds like a nice rural place. One of its more frustrated resident country mice writes about us city rats soaking up all the ‘leccy, yet expecting them to live near the power stations that provides it. Why not build one nearer to the big smokes, the letter writer asks, we’ve got all that space, after all, on Hampstead Heath to play with. “Or could that be a wee bit close for the townies and our mock green, grasping politicians?”
Anyone fancy a substation in the East Heath car park?
