CHANNEL 5’s review of the Camden Ripper case, a programme called Killers Behind Bars screened last night, sent a few chills down the spine with suggestions that Camden Town’s serial killer may have struck more times than we had previously known.
The Daily Express’s television reviews page was among those spooked by what is, by anybody’s standard, one of London’s most gruesome cases and this morning it names the ‘Camden Ripper’ as ‘Anthony Robinson’, whoever he may be? The only Tony Robinson I’ve heard of is the Baldrick, Time Team guy who we all collectively love for his reassuringly warm humour. He wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Anthony Hardy was the man given the lazy ‘Ripper’ nickname when convicted of three murders in Camden Town in 2002.
