How fast is your tube station?

IF you are changing branches of the Northern Line at Camden Town, then allow FOUR minutes of walking to your journey time. Does that sound a bit slow-walkers-club? Well, don’t take my word for it.

TfL has worked out the time it should take people to walk around underground and overground stations across the city, setting up its own database on how long it takes to get from the barriers to the platform for every stop.

West Hampstead is one of the quickest to zip throughs in Camden: you get from the front door to the platform in a minute.

But allow a bit of extra time at Belsize Park – TfL’s research says it can take up to five minutes to get from the Oyster card tap in to the trains.

This is vital information. You can see the entire guide online HERE, although if you can make the platform at Angel in two minutes then you’ve probably ski’d down the escalators.
