The Times columnist and conspiracy theory de-bunker (pictured below being canvassed in the street by optimistic Tories at the last election) later tweeted that Sally Gimson was “ma gal” after being drawn into a discussion with Labour blogger Luke Akehurst and writer Nick Cohen. Aaronovitch explained in a column 2010 how Glenda Jackson, who is retiring at the next election, had become “grumpy” and “for years now had inhabited an ideas free zone”.
