FORMER Conservative councillor Keith Sedgwick says, in the comments section of the last post, that it’s no great shakes to see Labour’s Mike Katz de-selected in Kilburn. His uncompromising take has not been universally shared within the Labour party in Camden over the last 48 hours, where there has been shock. A meter of that soul-searching feeling might be detected in Labour’s deputy Mayor Lazzaro Pietragnoli tweeted tribute to Mike yesterday. But more so in the response from Michael Way, who would probably have been elected as a Laour councillor in Highgate in 2010 had his surname begun with a letter from the first half of the alphabet.
It begs a question about how Labour members in Kilburn will feel about being cast as ‘dull’.
