THE Labour Party press release confirming Tulip Siddiq’s victory in the Hampstead and Kilburn parliamentary selection contest has arrived. She was chosen yesterday as the one to try and pick up where the retiring Glenda Jackson leaves off at the next General Election.
The factbox on the press release from Labour HQ is interesting. It tells us:
‘Tulip Siddiq grew up in Hampstead and Kilburn and currently lives there with her husband…’
Does this mean Tulip only started growing up when she was 16?
In a blogpost in 2009, Tulip wrote about meeting TV presenter Konnie Huq, telling us: “I moved to the UK when I was 16 so I never watched Blue Peter growing up”.
