Chris Philp kept waiting for fresh parliamentary challenge

IMG_9922AS posted here yesterday, Hampstead-based Tory Chris Philp, he of Glenda Jackson whisker defeat fame, is still in the running for Croydon South, as he seeks a new parliamentary election challenge, albeit on a long-list of 15 potential candidates.

He may be thankful for that second bite of the cherry after being pipped for the PPC-ship in Tonbridge and Malling in the open primary there by former army officer Thomas Tugendhat.

Westminster councillor Ed Argar, meanwhile, missed out in Newark last night and was last in the Tonbridge vote.
