ARSENAL were not the only team on the wrong end of a 6-3 trouncing this week: spare a thought too for the Wimbledon Saints, who went down by the same scoreline at the hands of Westminster Wanderers. That result will have been a source of great delight for Wanderers’ chairman Alex Aiken, the former head of press at Westminster Council and husband to cabinet councillor Nickie.
It has been an exciting season for the Wanderers, who have one eye on promotion and look particularly smart in their new kits, having been recently sponsored by advertising firm Wildstone. The company’s logo appears on their lovely yellow strips.

No foul play suggested, Wildstone are the company who ‘worked on behalf of’ Westminster Council to wrap the Eros statue in Piccadilly in a ‘snow globe’ this Christmas, creating endless joy in the process for tourists and the guy with the camera on the police helicopter over London’s skies.
