AFTER spending his final months at the Town Hall fretting about council leader Sarah Hayward’s frenetic pace on Twitter – he even raised the fact he was bored with her views on the X-Factor and Arsenal at a meeting – you could have been forgiven for thinking that the now ex-Lib Dem councillor Paul Braithwaite would be all fingers crossed that she isn’t about to be upgraded to an MP.
But oh no – in a tweet of his own he says she’d be his choice in the Holborn and St Pancras selection tussle, if, of course, he was a Labour member. Haywardites certainly had a double take when they saw this one.
Sarah Hayward certainly gets my vote as replacement candidate for Frank Dobson MP! But as I’m not a Labour Party member I don’t get to vote
