The ice bucket challenge reaches North London’s Labour Party
WILL we soon see H&K candidate Tulip Siddiq soaked by freezy-cold water as part of the worldwide Ice Bucket Challenge craze, the charity drive to raise awareness for motor neurone disease sufferers? She has been publicly nominated for a dousing by another parliamentary hopeful, the Harrow East Labour candidate Uma Kumaran with a 24 hour deadline tick-tocking away.
Uma, who used to work for the Labour Party in Islington, also nominated Islington Town Hall leader Councillor Richard Watts for the challenge – a request that has already been granted.
.
If the challenge spreads this quickly through north London Labour Party circles – Richard has nominated his predecessor and Hornsey and Wood Green parliamentary candidate Catherine West for the ice – it might even reach Camden Town Hall before too long.

Tulip is passing on the IBC:
I hate wasting water but I love giving charity so I will definitely be donating generously. Thanks for nominating me!! @Uma_Kumaran

It spreads further: Labour’s housing chief at Islington Town Hall, Councillor James Murray accepts the nomination – and passes the challenge on to yet more councillors in that borough as well as the Islington Tribune’s Peter Gruner:
When can we finally end this idiotic water waste?
