TALKS are continuing in the leader’s office and mayor’s parlour over whether to fly the Scottish saltire flag above Camden Town Hall ahead of next week’s independence referendum – or not.

Just in case Camden’s officers might be struggling to source a flag, the head of the civil service Sir Bob Kerslake apparently wrote to the council yesterday offering to courier one over from Whitehall.
