STUDENTS at the London School for Economics in Holborn have got their uni newspaper, The Beaver, back firing on all cylinders, and this week publish an interview with former London Mayor Ken Livingstone. Asked who the Tories will pick to stand as Mayor once Boris Johnson has departed, Ken is reported here to have replied: “There couldn’t be anyone worse than Boris. Jimmy Savile’s dead.”

The three-handed reporting team admit to have been taken by surprise by the tone of his response, before Ken added: “Only joking.”

The interview, which also includes Ken’s assessment of Ed Miliband’s chances, is available on the Beaver’s website, HERE.
