More human beings please, pleads India

ENDORSEMENTS arms-race latest: Council leader Sarah Hayward claims Primrose Hill author India Knight as a supporter in her quest for the Labour selection in Holborn and St Pancras.

Of course, you wouldn’t expect a simple ‘vote for Sarah’ from the Sunday Times columnist. Decode away about ‘representatives on Earth’, India wants more human beings in politics.

“I have had rather grand texts asking if I would “like” a meeting with another of the candidates, and had a knock on the door from that candidate’s representative on earth. Sarah came round herself. For me, that says it all. I’m backing Sarah because I believe that what politics needs is human beings behaving like human beings, and because I’ve been really impressed by her leadership of the council. She has the skills and experience we need to represent Holborn & St Pancras on a national stage.”

I think India is a bit deluded and really does not know Sarah Hayward that well. It is a mistake to make comments in the public about people you don’t really know or met a couple of times.
