‘Fashion spying’ at full council
MY absence at the Town Hall tonight was not a protest at having two full council meetings on successive, as ever so barmy as that schedule is. Something came up.
Rest assured I was checking in on the green bench tweets from afar; you know, the usual barrage of posts about how delighted a Labour councillor is about raising something in the chamber. I say Labour because, and maybe it’s because there are more of them, they tend to dominant the Twitter exchanges on full council meeting nights.
It wasn’t all fawnaroooroo my-friend-just-stood-up-and-said-something-brilliant tweets tonight, however.
For what will Conservative council leader Claire-Louise Leyland make of being papped like a Royal from the Labour benches as she spoke, and placed into a whoworeitbest hashtag by stylish Labour councillor Maryam Eslamdoust? I think it’s meant as a compliment.

As one who appreciates feminine looking ladies they both look good to me.
Not a Rizla between them!!

For the record I thought CLL’s dress was great, but I didn’t think for a second that tank tops and dresses would make your blog. Nevertheless I’m happy to take more pictures at future meetings, maybe have a councillor fashion feature…
Maryam, sounds like a great idea, keep an eye on the shoes, I know Osser has a footwear fetish.

Bread and circuses…how lovely that CLL equivalents a princess. I doubt CLL would stoop that far. More bread and less circus please…
