Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister?

WE learn today that according to Sir Keir Starmer it is ‘not helpful’ to ask him questions like ‘do you want to be Prime Minister?’ Labour’s parliamentary candidate in Holborn and St Pancras was set the trap by the BBC’s Jo Cockburn while appearing on the Daily Politics at lunchtime. Plenty of media training in the bag, the former DPP expertly played the distract them, tell a joke card by comparing the question to his son asking him whether he should play for Arsenal or Chelsea when he grows up?

It isn’t like that at all really, but the danger swiftly passed, leaving us to wonder some more about whether Sir K dreams of reaching No. 10 or not, and more importantly whether Starmer Junior will one day be leading the line at the Emirates Stadium.
