Get well soon, Flick: Lib Dem breaks arm in campaign trail fall
GET well soon to Liberal Democrat councillor Flick Rea, who was treated in the Royal Free Hospital yesterday for a broken arm after tripping over in West Hampstead while out on the campaign trail. It means for the first time in forever she won’t be at the election count tomorrow night.
She stumbled over something on the ground in West End Lane and hit a lamppost as she fell. Luckily enough, a good Samaritan was passing by and was quick to help. When Flick looked up, it turned out to be Labour councillor Lorna Russell.
“I was on the floor demanding cigarettes and Lorna was very good and went and got me some,” Flick reports. “Two very nice young men rang the ambulance. I’ve never broken anything before, but last night I had to have morphine. I broke my arm. Someone’s putting it around that I collapsed but I didn’t. I tripped and then snapped my arm against the lamppost.”
It’s bad news for general election candidate Kirsty Allan as well, as Flick adds that she is not sure whether she will be able to get to a polling station tomorrow. “I won’t be at the count either which is sad,” she said. “I’m making do with whisky.”
And on hearimg about Flick. The Tory councillors sent her flowers.

Should’ve sent whisky, not flowers!
I’m so sorry to read that Camden’s favourite political mother has had a fall.
But at least she’ll miss the blood-bath melt-down coming to her Party under Farron’s stewardship.

Jonathan’s right, but make several large ones.

I noticed she asked for cigarettes first and then whisky. Flick maintains her (un)healthy diet even in adversity! It would be doubly ironic if the doctor had told her that eating salad would help to heal her arm…. Get well soon Flick!
