Win or lose, best friends for life: The best campaign bromance of General Election 2017

IT may not have all  turned out exactly as the Conservatives in Hampstead wanted but one of the stories of general election of 2017 is surely the tag-team bromance which developed between Councillor Oliver Cooper and Hamish Hunter. A day hardly went by without these guys, usually in matching blue cagoules, posting selfies of each other getting the vote out: outside train stations, in the park, leaping over walls.

Best friends for life, even on Saturday, they were back out together in NW3 to show they won’t just be around at election time. With Hamish on the Tory slate for next year’s Town Hall elections, they hope to be fellow councillors in the Hampstead council ward by this time next year. I think we can all agree, it’s been kinda beautiful to watch from afar.
