Captain Abdul beaten by CNJ

ABDUL Hai has been briefly whispered about as a future leader of the council in the past, although living in south London and working for a major developer makes that prospect unlikely. He’s also in need of some management skills training, on the basis of Friday night’s handling of Camden Labour’s football team at least.

Taking over the reins from dropped captain Awale Olad, Abdul wore the armband in the Tom Foot Testimonial but fared no better than his predecessor. Some eyewitnesses even saw him shouting ‘sub, sub, someone go on for me’ at the Castlehaven pitches in Camden Town as Labour once again left empty-handed against the CNJ.

The match finished 7-3 to the journalists and once again the team of politicians look in need of a reshuffle and some unity. You have to go back to 2010 – wow that’s ages – since their last win.
