Last week’s news today

THE Billy Fury mural mystery in West Hampstead continues. Camden Council is trying to identify who covered it over with black paint on Thursday evening. It had only been on the wall of the path named after the singer for two days.

The mural’s speedy demise has been well-documented since Friday; it was one of the most read stories on the CNJ website over the weekend.

Somebody should tell the Evening Standard who days after the blackout are reporting in print tonight the stale news that mural has been restored. Anybody heading to Billy Fury Way after reading this is in for a disappointment.
