THERE may be one or two Labour figures who’d like to give the party’s conference in Liverpool a miss. Hampstead and Kilburn MP Tulip Siddiq has a good excuse to miss the infighting, however, even if the morning sickness is no fun.
She announces in today’s New Journal that she and her husband, Chris Percy, are expecting their second baby. Even more reason then for her to continue her campaign for MPs who are new mothers to be given a little more help in the House of Commons.
“If they still haven’t brought in proxy voting by March next year, I guess my new baby’s first outing to Westminster will be to vote against Brexit,” Ms Siddiq said.
