What is French for… bollocks?

AFTER the mayor of Camden’s recent comments about how councillors dress at Town Hall meetings, all eyes will be on our local politicians at next week’s all member session to ensure everybody is in a collar and tie.  I better source one myself.

There was no such dress code, however, at the opening plenary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg today, where Belsize councillor Luisa Porritt – now one of London’s MEPs as well – was among new arrivals reminding the chamber that not everybody in the United Kingdom wants to leave the EU. New colleagues in the Renew Europe political grouping were apparently asking where they too could get a Bollocks To Brexit t-shirt at the door.

Maybe Cllr Porritt will be tempted to wear it again on Monday night when Labour councillors Peter Taheri and Leo Cassarani will bring a motion calling for Camden Council not just to campaign for a second referendum on Europe but to wholeheartedly demand the country remains.
